I followed the recipe pretty closely but used some reviewers suggestions. I drained the sourkraut but didn't rinse it, because we similar the tangy gustatory modality of the sourkraut. I buttered rye breadstuff slices on ane side and spread Thousand Isle dressing on the other side. On the dressing side I placed a slice of swiss cheese, sliced Pastrami from the cafeteria and then topped with sourkraut. I cooked them on my George Foreman grill until the cheese was melted and the bread was prissy and toasted. They were delicious! I merely gave the four star rating because the sourkraut in the middle wasn't very warm. Next fourth dimension I brand these I will warm the sourkraut in the microwave first and maybe add together another piece of swiss likewise! If yous like Rueben sandwiches y'all will love this one!

I work as a grill cook at Cracker Butt, and while the Reuben is ane of the most abrasive things to make at a busy time, It doesn't take virtually 45 minutes to brand. Perhaps 5 at most from showtime to finish. If this recipe works for yous, then good. Withal, we do it quite differently. Nosotros get-go off by putting approximately 1/four cup sauerkraut (we never measure it, we just grab some) on the grill, and a bag of about the same amount of scrap corn beef on height of that. Then we put two pieces of bread downward with some butter, and put two pieces of swiss cheese on each piece of bread. Once the sauerkraut and beef has heated up for a minute or two, we put it on one piece of bread, and put the 1000 island dressing on the other piece. As I said before, information technology shouldn't take more than five-x minutes to brand.

These were great. I used George Foreman grill, which was easy and quick. I don't like soggy bread, so I put the dressing and sauerkraut between the meat and cheese. I also merely used 1 slice of cheese per sandwich.
04/19/2007
A expert mustard is the way to brand a Reuben. Downwardly in south Alabama we did non start hearing about this g island business until about 10 years agone.
04/11/2007
Hubby and I dear this sandwich. I like to employ the sweeter "bavarian fashion" sauerkraut with the caraway seeds. Somtimes I change it up and use mustard instead of thousand isle dressing.
03/25/2011
Great sandwich! The classics never die! This was and then skillful then easy to make. If you use good quality ingredients yous'll terminate upwardly with a wonderful sandwich. I used "Thousand Island Dressing 2" from this site. Perfect for a quick luncheon - YUM!
03/17/2005
Well liked by all. I likewise spread the k island dressing between meat and cheese to proceed bread from getting soggy, and agree with another review, you have to use butter, not margerine. Apply deli corned beef and you have the genuine deal here. Great recipe!
03/04/2006
My husband's favorite sandwich is a reuben, and he usually goes to a local deli for one. I wanted to be able to make them at abode for him, tin I came upon this recipe--it was very well received!! I've made it several times since I found it in early 2005, and the just alter I make is to use a piddling more thousand isle dressing than the recipe calls for since that is my husband'south favorite office
03/sixteen/2007
DELICIOUS!!!! This is hands down my favorite sandwich. And this recipe is great and easy to follow. I fabricated it for dinner and information technology was a huge hit. I added additional cheese and additional corned beef...because I take some big boys in my family. :)
07/06/2011
I used to make Reuben's in a restaurant, and I got corking raves for mine. To improve on this sandwich, I would add more corned beef, and also add together an equal amount of Pastrami. The total meat weight of 12 oz. In the New York Deli, they put one lb. of meat on each sandwich. As well mix the sauerkraut and dressing, and put information technology in the eye of the sandwich, and so the bread doesn't get soggy. Also, wring out the sauerkraut, so it'south non wet.
09/13/2002
Fantastic! I used pumpernickel bread & subbed mozzarella for the swiss (I don't usually have swiss in the firm, because nobody really cares for it on a regular footing) & put some horseradish sauce on it....YUM! Thanks for sharing Colette, we eat these often!
07/07/2011
If yous really want a skilful grilled sandwich you need to dark-brown the inside of the staff of life first. And then assemble and cook the outside.
04/fifteen/2010
Perfect, classic Reuben. In my book it'due south worth making a corned beef brisket (I similar "Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches," also from this site) merely to make this sandwich! As others have noted, drain and RINSE the sauerkraut and estrus it briefly so that it'due south proficient and hot by the time the sandwich is done. I used a marbled rye, which made this sandwich especially pretty. Whether you use deli corned beef or melt your ain corned beef brisket, brand certain the meat is tender! There's goose egg worse with a Reuben sandwich than to have a bite and pull out a large hunk of tough meat, leaving the rest of the sandwich behind! (I've had a Reuben like that in a restaurant or two...)
06/27/2011
A keen base recipe to larn how to brand a Reuben but you gotta cook your ain meat! Information technology's besides piece of cake to skip. Instead of deli meat, I used "Slow Cooked Corned Beefiness for Sandwiches" from this site. If butter is banned at your house similar it is in mine, using cooking spray works just as well to make the bread crispy. I too used Publix 2% swiss cheese and Publix fat-gratis dressing. Fabricated a skillful and practically guilt-free sandwich.
03/17/2014
Ingredients are fine but associates and cooking need help. here'southward the cloak-and-dagger: ane. Heat the corned beefiness and sauerkraut separately in the microwave until but warm 2. Put cheese on one piece of staff of life, Corned beef on the other three. Put sauerkraut in middle with Yard Isle on it (keeps bread from getting soggy) four. Simplify your life- don't butter the bread. Put a pat butter in the pan and melt but before you put sandwich in. When side toasts pick up with spatula, add some other pat of butter turn over. **For all-time results heat should be on the low side of medium-depression. Utilise a frying pan with a chapeau. This holds in the estrus and ensures the inside is warm and exterior isn't burned.

Great basic recipe for a traditional reuben sandwich. I make some pocket-sized substitutions, following my mom's recipe: Instead of corned beef, I use pastrami. After draining the sauerkraut, I put it in a medium bowl and mix in the chiliad island using a fork. Other than that, I assemble the sandwiches according to this recipe, and my husband and I love them!
03/19/2012
Yummy! My married man *loves* Reubens and these got a big seal of approval from him. I followed the directions exactly and we were pleased with the results. Served with Claussen dill pickle spears, which were a perfect compliment to the sandwiches. Thanks :)
03/eighteen/2008
This is actually an splendid recipe, and the perfect way to use leftover corned beef. I had lots of corned beefiness left from St. Pat'due south solar day celebrations, so I fabricated this more than than once; it works beautifully fifty-fifty with slight changes. I had to utilize a unlike bread the second time, and used some leftover jarlsburg cheese (mild swiss) - all the same succulent! I concord with the other reviewers that you should warm the corned beef and sauerkraut prior to assembly and cooking of the sandwiches, just this is easy to do. I merely turned the oven on to 350 degrees and popped the beef and sauerkraut in it before I started getting the sandwich stuff ready, and by the fourth dimension the grill was heating up and I wanted to put the sandwiches together they were nice and warm. At any rate it worked great, although I used a stove top grill and but grilled the sandwiches for 7 minutes per side. Longer than that and they started to fire, so I would propose watching the sandwiches because all grills aren't equal in heating. The 2d batch I also tented tinfoil over them equally they cooked on the grill; this helped to keep everything toasty. Yum!!!
04/20/2002
Just 'congenital" a couple of these and they are great! The kids don't similar the sauerkraut, or corned beef, so this is a "grownup" sandwich in my house! They only took 5 minutes per side, simply I weighed the sandwich downward with a heavy pan on top. VERY delicious!
07/24/2011
Great recipe! I read other reviews for suggestions, and it came out perfect. Like other people, I put the yard isle and the sauerkraut in the middle of the sandwich and then the bread didn't become soggy. I institute that information technology was easier to put in the center if I put the (already tuckered) sauerkraut in a bowl, microwaved it about 30 seconds to heat it upwardly, and and then mixed in the thousand isle dressing. I kept the grill on medium-low heat and was able to heat it upward for the recommended corporeality of time without burning the bread. Cheers for the recipe!
01/08/2010
This is the succulent recipe we use at habitation. We drain the sauerkraut and identify it in a small saucepan on low which warms it too every bit evaporates any juice left after draining it. Another sense of taste treat for this Reuben is to try beloved mustard in place of the 1000 island or regular mustard. This is a bully sandwich equally a stand lone dinner or lunch...Thank you much
09/23/2007
we love these! instead of grilling in the pan, nosotros use the george foreman grill and they turn out wonderful!
12/13/2009
Amazing. Definitely the best Reuben I've always had. I won't exist ordering another one in a eating place because I know I'll be disappointed. I used the "Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches" as well on Allrecipes.com which I'm sure helped brand this sandwich amazing. The deli down the street claims to make the best reubens in town... well, I call back I've taken that claim to fame away from them now! I've eaten them six days in a row now!! Love pregnancy :)
eleven/01/2010
This was awesome. This recipe calls for sauerkraut to be drained. Some people must take missed that. I used pastrami, turned out awesome. Used a cast iron skillet and the sandwiches turned out beautifully and oh so yummy!!!! The layering here is adept, and was the reason I looked a recipe upward anyhow. Too, if yous're cooking stovetop, put the chapeau on the pan for a bit and that will help with heating the cheese/sauerkraut. Ours were the perfect temperature throughout.
01/28/2015
Lots of tweaks are required for this receipe. First you lot absolutely need to drain the sourkraut. Squeeze the sourkraut out over the sink before placing it on the sandwich. If yous don't practise this, the sandwich will be soggy. Equally well you do not take to use the bread. Use whatever whole wheat staff of life and spread both sides with easily spreadable margarine. I've perfected this receipe over many tries. Feel gratuitous to use whatever Swiss cheese, Grieire is especially good. I put two slices on one side and 1 on the other. In addition to one thousand island dressing, spread the inside of 1 side of staff of life with Dijon mustard. Information technology's succulent! The social club I use is margarine on breadstuff face down, thousand isle dressing, two slices of Swiss cheese, drained sourkraut, a lot of corned beef, another slice of Swiss cheese, thousand island dressing, bread with Dijon mustard on the within and margarine spread on the outside. Grill as you would for a grilled cheese sandwich on low-medium rut. The 2d side will cook faster than the showtime. Enjoy with a pickle.
02/21/2014
The Rueben is ane of my favorite things to social club at Ma & Pop style restaurants, but I've never made one at home until today. With all the other Rueben recipes out in that location, I'chiliad glad I picked this one to try first. It's just how I like them. Thanks!
10/16/2011
I used my griddle. On ane stop I toasted the bread on the other end I warmed upward the corned beefiness and the sauerkraut (drained). I made thousand island dressing from scratch (no egg recipe). piled all the ingredients on the breadstuff and finished toasting. NO SOGGY BREAD!! Easy and favorite sandwich in our domicile.
08/09/2005
My husband only raved virtually these sandwiches. Merely succulent! Too, oestrus the sauerkraut.
03/17/2014
Uncomplicated, good recipe.
ten/xi/2004
This is THE Reuben! Gustatory modality simply every bit good equally the diner's. I but made one and actually didn't follow the directions and it tasted great! Pressing the sandwich a chip really helps keeps everything from shifting all over the place when you turn it. simply it would be nifty if this was fabricated on a panini gril also! Make sure you have the oestrus on low enough and so it takes enough fourth dimension to melt the cheese and warm the corned beef and saurkraut. As well, I'k a butter daughter, just call up you lot would Have to make this with butternot margarine.
05/15/2007
This is the best manner to make Reubens nosotros've tried. Pefect!
08/22/2008
Rather than make private sandwiches, I used a loaf of French breadstuff. I toasted it rather than grilling it.
07/23/2011
This is an excellent sandwich. Exist sure to use sauerkraut in a cooled purse (usually from the deli or effectually the hot domestic dog area in a store). This is far better than the canned.
12/06/2013
Oh, seriously delicious! I used Boar's Head corned beef (you MUST utilise excellent quality corned beef for a peachy Reuben!) and had them slice it very thin. Be sure to cover your pan while you chocolate-brown these and keep them on a medium/low rut. This will ensure that the sandwich is warm in the eye with nicely melted cheese and perfectly browned breadstuff. (15 minutes per side is waaayyy likewise long, then condone that in the recipe directions.) I am not a fan of Russian dressing, but beloved TI, so that is what I use and bask on this sandwich. Oh, and rinsing the sauerkraut is a must unless you adore it and love a very potent taste of information technology in your sandwich.
02/15/2007
Delicious sandwich. It works all-time with very thinly sliced lean corned beefiness. I also added pickles. Yum
03/17/2014
This is your typical Reuben sandwich, simply Oh so skillful, but grilling for 15 minutes, not then much...more than similar 2-3 min. on each side...
02/12/2007
My youngest daughter loves these. If y'all don't similar rye bread, sliced sourdough works well.
05/25/2011
Ever a winner. I like to pile the corned beefiness high. This time I used Thousand Island Salad Dressing minus the paprika from this site; very good.
eleven/22/2004
These sandwiches were nifty! Had to make something quick for just me and the hubby and this definitely hit the spot! Served with cream of broccoli soup and a plate of contrasted olives, roasted peppers and pickles! Succulent! :)
03/26/2008
I used the recipe "slow cooked corned beefiness for sandwiches" from this site for this. I did butter the bread and brown it in a skillet, just then I just layered the sandwich and heated it in the microwave. The lesser piece of bread became a little soggy but information technology was all the same delicious. The next twenty-four hour period I put the bread in the toaster- I got a squeamish crispy sandwich. My husband called this recipe "dynamite!", and he tells his family all about this feast!
03/28/2013
Excellent! Husband had mustard, I had TI dressing. Followed reviewer suggestions for warming the corned beef and sauerkraut. Next time I think I'll purchase a few more slices of corned beef but we really enjoyed these as written. My mom used to make the best Reubens. These made me recollect her so thanks for posting.
08/28/2004
Ruebens are my all-fourth dimension favorites and this recipe is admittedly blindside-on. My days of going to the eating house to society them are over - I can make 'em myself now. Thanks Colette!
03/06/2010
My husband asked for these iii days in a row! He said they were the best he'd ever had... I don't like Reubens at all just he'd give it x stars if he could!
04/01/2016
03-24-2011 Stock-still this for our St. Patrick's Solar day meal. The sandwich is delicious. A reuben is my sandwich of choice in a restaurant, just I've never made one at home. This is a nifty recipe to use. Information technology came together quickly and I cooked them on the griddle along with Swiss Cheese Murphy Pancakes from this site. Everything got washed at the same fourth dimension and we had a wonderful meal. I will for certain be making this again. Thank you Colette for posting this recipe. 03-19-16 ~ The best part of the St. Patrick'southward meal is the leftover corned beefiness - just to brand a Reuben! This is a great and filling sandwich. I used two-toned bread and 'Not G Island Dressing' from AR in place of bottled dressing. The sandwiches were amazing. I might be a little biased, every bit a Reuben is my favorite sandwich.
01/16/2017
Did non brand any changes. Hubby and I liked it but as is. I wish most people would rate the recipes every bit is, instead of changing everything, so rating information technology. That would be more helpful.
06/08/2013
All-time Reuben Sandwich ever...only like the deli when I was growing up.
08/12/2008
Fantastic sandwich! To cut down on the fat, I used turkey pastrami, lowfat Swiss, and fat-free Thou Island (Kraft make is wonderful!). I served these with "Restaurant-Mode Coleslaw I" from this site. As another reviewer suggested, be sure to heat the meat and sauerkraut earlier grilling. Thanks for the recipe!
08/27/2011
Very good, used pastrami instead of corned beef and used AR's Thousand Island Dressing III. Decadent, but delicious, exactly the mode a reuben should exist.
05/25/2011
this is the same as my moms recipe and i accept been making them for xx years, if y'all put a lid on the pan while toasting the sandwiches, the whole sandwich will be hot and the cheese will be melted. so wonderful and easy!
04/06/2011
This sandwich is meliorate than the one at my local deli. I used marbled rye/pumpernikel (sp)? bread from Pepperidge Farm then followed the recipe. Don't alter a matter, it is delicious!
12/10/2002
This was pretty skillful, but my kids hated the Thousand Island dressing! I will just leave that off next time. When I toasted them in a big heavy skillet, I besides weighed them down with another pan and a big heavy can inside the pan. They came out nicely browned and all the "goodies" stayed inside the breadstuff.
03/12/2014
I make my Reuben this fashion too. Practice warm the sauerkraut before assembling and drain it well, and so squeeze it to remove any remaining moisture. Adding a sparse layer of horseradish to the meat side of the bread is a tasty add-on. If y'all apply only one layer of cheese, it is helpful to grill the meat-but side beginning, and then the cheese side. This allows the sandwich to heat up so the cheese melts properly. Mustard is also a good addition if you rinse the sauerkraut. Otherwise, information technology can exist a bit overpowering. As others accept mentioned, 5 minutes per side is probably sufficient. Y'all do non want the breadstuff to injure the roof of your mouth! On the rare occasions my married man and I order a Reuben at a restaurant, we are usually disappointed and brand this version inside a couple of weeks.
04/10/2012
neat recipe....however....use dwelling house cooked corned beef. Not any extra trouble. Ready corned beef and cabbage on Sunday, Reuben sandwiches on Tuesday. Otherwise, apply the recipe...Equally IS. You'll be happy.
05/23/2011
I really don't care for anything on this sandwich but I dearest them all together! I prefer to used Carl Budding corned beef and I utilize Miracle Whip instead of Thousand Island. I alway plan to eat these while my married man is away, this is one thing he doesn't treat that I absolutely love!
05/18/2012
We prepared this this night. What a treat. We used American Cheese instead of Swiss. It was absolutely the best Reuben I've ever eaten. Attempt it, you'll honey information technology.
01/12/2012
Absolutely succulent and Piece of cake! I am obsessed with Reuben Sandwiches, and this is better than anything I've ever paid for in a restaurant. One thing I'll do next time is melt butter and castor onto the breadstuff...it's just hard to flip on the griddle when the butter is still in cold lumps :) That is ALL I am changing though! Kudos to Colette, this is wonderful!
05/05/2012
this came out sooooo good. i used deli roast beef and fried information technology for a scrap in olive oil. it tasted only similar corned beef! i used french dressing considering we ran out of 1000 island, and i used a laughing moo-cow Swiss cheese spreadable triangle. It came out so Delicious!
03/06/2014
Nosotros are non rye bread eaters then I used sour dough and they were splendid. I may try some mustard next time.
04/13/2006
archetype sandwich...Corking gustation. fifteen minutes is a lilliputian long, 5 minutes per side is more similar it. Try it you'll similar it. Don't forget the dill pickle.
12/07/2008
My favorite sandwich! I suggest making your own thousand island dressing and rye bread for a more than homemade flavor. My husband and I dear them.
01/19/2009
Very adept. I used turkey considering I don't eat beef. I heated the sandwiches with the George Foreman grill.
08/15/2016
If y'all follow the recipe like it says it will plow out perfect, the reviews are just repeating the same thing, most of them say to drain the sauerkraut which is specified in the ingredients list. The cook time says 15 min per side on medium rut and so that the insides are warm all the way through and the bread isn't burnt. Othere reviewers weren't being honest with the Stars considering they wanted to take a short cut method or not fully read the ingredients list or instructions. If you want a 5 star meal follow everything it says and pay close attending.
03/17/2013
Love this - exactly how we make it at home, except I heaped on more than shaved corned beefiness. It's also swell dipped in yellow mustard!
12/21/2006
Excellent! It came out just like the picture. I had never had corned beef or sauerkraut before and am non addicted of thousand island, but the flavors blended together were great. I've made it 2 nights this week. so elementary!
04/11/2007
This was quick, easy, and then practiced. I used corned beef instead. My hubby loved it and suggested to have the corned beef shaved at the cafeteria. I volition brand this for now on and will exist a family striking! Thank you!
12/x/2011
I apply thousand island instead.
xi/17/2002
Even though I don't much treat Reuben Sandwiches, my hubby just loves them. He says that these tasted just like the ones he ate in NYC, which is praise of the highest social club!! I will make these for him every yr on his birthday from at present on...thanks so much Colette!
03/19/2013
Wonderful sandwich! This is how we make ours ingredient wise. Notwithstanding, instead of cafeteria corned beefiness, we always employ any left over corned beef from St. Patrick's solar day to make our reubens. We warm everything up before creating this masterpiece of a sandwich!
04/06/2008
I made these for my dad's bday dejeuner- reubens are his fav- and everyone LOVED them. I used reduced fatty mayo in the dressing, reduced fat swiss, and Brummel & Brown spread (just happens to be the spread I always purchase) and they chowed those things! I am a vegetarian, then I can't tell yous personally, but I did make myself one sans corned beef and it was delish.
02/12/2007
Very practiced. We didn't change a thing and it was perfect.
04/23/2007
I fabricated this recipe for dinner tonight. All I tin can say is YUM! These sandwiches were a real hit with my family!
02/17/2012
Classic! Make sure to cook these wearisome so the meat heats and the cheese melts. Naught worse than crispy bread with cold fillings. I make my own Thousand Island using "Thousand Island Dressing Ii" from this site considering I hate buying a whole canteen but for Reuben night.
08/20/2008
expert sandwich
08/21/2014
Groovy recipe! The only change I would make is to spread mayo on each side of the bread, then toast one side of each piece. The toasted side will get the inside of your sandwich when y'all grill it. Two nifty things happen when y'all practise this: first, the staff of life is nice and crisp on both sides and soft in the heart; second, the toast has a piddling flake of a sweet taste to counter the tartness of the sauerkraut. Attempt it in one case and guess for yourself.
03/22/2013
Love Reubens! 15 minutes per side is definitely too long for this, simply the ingredients and method are spot on. I did a quick pickled cabbage instead of sauerkraut and some leftover corned beef with rye/pumpernickel bread. Then yummy! Thanks for the recipe!
03/25/2011
Made these last dark - easy, tasty & quick. I put the thousand island on the side for dipping and heated the sauerkraut before calculation to the sandwich. MUST use rye bread@
04/nineteen/2007
this is an excellent sandwich! i prefer marbled rye staff of life for eye appeal & russian dressing (when i tin discover it). you lot can as well cook a corned beefiness brisket for dinner & slice the leftover meat for this recipe instead of spending extra $$ at the deli. thanks colette!
12/02/2011
A classic and very good.....I am basing my review on having my share and knowing that this sandwich is astonishing. On another note....I am not sure what the problem was with the corned beef I had purchased at the deli the other 24-hour interval....looked and smelled great....was very excited to eat the final product and hubby and I were just disappointed that the meat was extremely rubbery and hard to bite into allow alone chew.....all in all.....definately not the recipes fault or an error of mine....only a nasty cut of corned beef....lol.....cheers for a great recipe though!
12/28/2010
This is really 1 of my husband's favorite things I make! For a filling, hearty, and succulent meal you lot tin can't go wrong with these reubens!
05/03/2008
Made this sandwich with shaved turkey instead of corned beef since that'due south what I had on hand. I found it didn't accept equally long to make as the recipe says. Married man and I absolutely loved it! This a going to be a new regular in my house.
03/27/2012
Great sandwich, Used my ain homemade Thousand Island Dressing and homemade Rye bread. I grilled in the panini press. Don't know why I waited sooooo long to try i of these sandwiches!!!
08/05/2016
Succulent, as good as information technology gets!
07/26/2008
good and easy
02/04/2013
pretty good just something missing - possibly it's the simply the grand isle dressing i used - i merely felt like the whole sandwich lacked season - maybe in that location needs to be some additional seasoning added or make your own thousand isle
04/21/2007
I followed the recipe word for give-and-take and I would NEVER alter a thing! My married man and I both give it 5 stars. This was admittedly Delicious!! I served the sandwiches with chili cheese fries. :-)
08/xiv/2008
my husband loves this recipe, he commonly eats them all day and there is none left for the next day :)
06/24/2006
This is very yummie. I used provolone cheese and pastrami. I put it in my George Foreman grill and it went real fast. My hubby said as a side dish with this reuben I should accept made a cucumber salad. I will the next time. We really enjoyed it. It was better than whatever reuben at whatsoever restaurant.
08/03/2012
Excellent recipe, fantabulous nutrient.
08/15/2002
My husband loved this! So easy he made it for himself!!
06/19/2008
This is really good in fact, my husband asked me, "where did y'all get this?" thinking I bought it from a restraunt!
02/13/2007
Delicious! This is my favorite blazon of sandwich. I wasn't able to notice it in restaurants down here in VA like I was in WI, but I tried this homemade recipe and it's perfect!
07/31/2011
Nifty recipe. I heated everything separately though because I'grand away from my sandwich toaster. Left out butter and added a bit more 1000 island. Very tasty:o) thanks
07/31/2012
You tin't become wrong with these and you tin't mess them up. We cipher the sauerkraut and sometimes use Provolone cheese instead of Swiss. Nosotros likewise apply our panini grill to make them.
01/04/2017
This was Delicious!!!!!!!
07/11/2011
I make the Rachel version of this sandwich using Smoked Turkey Breast, since I love this sandwich, simply non a fan of Corned Beefiness. I likewise use Baby Swiss cheese for a milder flavor and lite Thousand Island dressing...information technology'southward soooooo adept!
04/19/2007
This sandwich is great, but if you don't like Thousand Island dressing, merely add some prepared mustard. It is dandy that mode likewise. Marbled (rye/white) bread gives a Reuben a fancy appearance.
06/01/2012
I besides make these with lesser fat deli ham and monterey jack cheese.
03/26/2012
Bully sandwich! I used more than meat and sauerkraut with seeded rye sourdough bread and fried them in the frying pan. They turned out corking, my husband and I loved it. Side by side time i'll effort it with a dissimilar type of sauerkraut and with pumpernickle bread.
12/07/2014
Not bad recipe! I did employ a little more Thousand Island dressing than chosen for, and I cooked it on medium depression for about six minutes per side. Loved it!
